Our basic classes help teach the importance of socialization, various dog/owner communication methods, positive reinforcement techniques along with the importance of consistency. If you have been working with your dog on your own and have been seeing little to NO results, it may very well be HOW you're teaching not WHAT you are teaching.

Top Dog Professional Dog Training uses a combination of POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT methods in conjunction with properly administered corrections in order to reward your dog for good behavior. This reward system identifies what is pleasing to each individual dog using either verbal praise and/or treats. 

Each class details how and why a specific command is taught.  The one hour class is designed to first review previously taught commands, then introduce new commands. The commands we teach are useful for building a positive relationship between owners and their pets in a home setting. To TRULY be successful at training your dog, repetitive practice MUST be done daily at home.

The length of time needed for in home training will vary depending on your dog's attention span. Commit to spending 15-30 minutes per day working with your dog to maximize what you have learned in class. The classroom setting will provide you with the knowledge, confidence and tools to assist you in developing a consistent training program for your dog. It is your COMMITMENT to your dog's training that will make both of you successful.
